Got the chance to go to Luzern yesterday. It was awfully nice. Ye fabled Alps! Sometime I'd like to take one of the cruises offered of the lake and surroundings; seems like there are lots of little historical inlets to see. Maybe this summer. Hoo boy, I can't wait for all the river- and lake swimming that promises to be available! People say this lake is so clean you can practically drink out of it, but I don't think I'll try. Too much swan poop. Note the covered wooden walking bridge in the picture above; there are several, the town is famous for them. When I was looking on a map just now I spotted a small town further around the lake from Luzern, it's called Meggen. Maybe I can visit that place too, even though they clearly spell it wrong.
