More snow this morning. Alas, I thought, now I have to stay in today. Foolish! Pants-under-pants. I'm impenetrable.
After the market I stopped in at the thrift store to look for a little desk. No dice, though there were some tempting books in the Biographies section.
By the time I left the thrift store it had stopped snowing.
correction: Matthäuskirche. Sorry.
ReplyDeletethat card case with the chalk board is really cool. and I like your scarf! where did you get that little pin on your jacket? it looks like one of the bears from the little plates from milly's.
ReplyDeletescarf from the cancer society off piedmont ave. pin from berlin. so, not unlike the little plates! isn't it funny that one of those little plates had the basel logo (they were all the cantons of switzerland, i discovered at some point) and now i see that logo every day, everywhere? i think every city should have a logo. it's much cooler that way.
ReplyDeleteI agree. though american ones would probably be cheesy, like modern sports team logos (http://www.sports-logos-screensavers.com/user/Anaheim_Angels6.jpg). if someone who had some good, classy design ideas did them, it would be really cool...
ReplyDeleteI think the thing is, you can't let the design get changed by time. And, there can't be any type; I think typeface is probably something that changes the most, style-wise. Ideally it would be an iconic, vaguely abstract symbol that could embody the very spirit of the place. A small thing to ask.
